Snow Days Ice Rink on Banff Avenue at the Banff High School playfield
Directions: Third block of Banff Avenue.

The Waldhaus Rink, behind the Banff Springs Hotel
Directions: From the Bow Falls, follow the road leading to the Waldhaus restaurant.

On the Bow River
When conditions permit, an oval is cleared for skating on the Bow River. Note that this is not a maintained rink, and that river flow may impact the ice's thickness from day to day.
Directions: West end of Wolf Street by Bow Avenue

Lake Louise
Directions: On the Lake Louise in front of the Chateau Lake Louise.


Pond at 7th Avenue and Mallard Alley
Directions: From Town Centre follow 7th Avenue to Mallard Avenue. Rink is on the left side of the 7th avenue.

Elk Run Boulevard and Canyon Road
Directions: From Town Centre exit on the Highway One, follow Benchland Trail and turn right on the Elk Run boulevard. Rink is located on the left inside of Elk Run boulevard.

Hockey Rink - 17th Street by the day care

Other natural outdoor ice surfaces include Forty-Mile Creek to Vermilion Lakes, Johnson Lake, Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka.

Natural ice skating areas are not maintained or supervised. Skate at your own risk. Visit the Parks Canada website for info on skating on ponds, lakes and rivers.
